The origins of MAN TAKRAF go back to the year 1725. Thus MAN TAKRAF, which is part of the MAN AG, is one of the most traditional mechanical engineering companies in Germany. The Derrick
The derrick on the shipyard of P.T. Pal in Surabaya is used in conjunction with a gantry. On the docks, it facilitates the construction of ships.
The crane is equipped with a hoist, a luffing gear, a slewing gear and a chassis. All motors are provided with rotary current engines – short circuit rotors - which are fed by a frequency converter.
The sensitive execution of the individual crane movements, the reliability as well as the robustness are important features of the crane.
The safety factor also played an important part for the operating employees and the device itself.
