Project reference insulation technology - fiberization machines |
|
Ursa - Deutschland GmbH
Fiberization facilities for plants in Belgium, Poland and Russia
Ursa Germany has evolved from the company Pfleiderer insulation technology. From 1991 to this day plants for insulation technology have been built in different, national and international, locations. For the last five years all fiberization facilities have been equipped with controls from our company. We are especially proud that our approach was inspected by the Technical Control Board of the Rhineland and deemed to be of a good standard.

The process
Fiberization machines are at the heart of factories for the production of insulation material. Through a centrifugal process liquid gas is, similar to the production of candyfloss, pressed through a multitude of fine holes in the sides of a centrifugal disk and leaves the disk as fibers. These fibers are pulled through an air current which is released from a ring fixed underneath the disk. The insulation material emerges as wool into a so-called dropshaft onto a conveyor belt.
For the heating of the disk a burner is used, constructed in a ring-like shape, which is fuelled by a gasair mixture and has a heat output of several 100 kW.
In this process, the performance of the burner directly influences the product quality. For this reason, it is important that the heat output and the flames can be finely regulated to a high standard and that the machine settings display a reproducible dependence between its settings and the flame outline.
Between four and nine units work parallel in the individual plants to achieve the necessary production volume.

Why HIT?
HIT completed this project to the complete satisfaction of Ursa and has supervised the facility from its conception. The facility has proved its reliability from the very beginning. Because of its high regulatory quality the production grade was improved and a previously unknown security standard was achieved in this sector.
|
Further reasons that speak in HIT’s favour:
- Experience with Siemens controls
- Certified Siemens solution provider
- Experience with security-oriented SPCs
- Experience with metering and materials handling systems
- Experience with complex controls
- Experience with network structures
- Reliable service
- Certified according to ISO 9001
