Seaport trans-shipment in Brake
J. Müller, a group of companies with locations in Bremen and Brake is one of the leading German seaport trans-shipment and services companies. 20 000 tons of grain and animal feed are handled every day. This is made possible by the large storage capacities with the corresponding machines and a central visualization.

Project description
For loading and unloading, the different types of grain are directed from the ship to the silo cells via preselected routes, and from the silo cells to the loading of the goods onto the lorries. A multitude of silo cells with a height of 76 metres each make a storage capacity of more than 300,000 tons possible. The cross-linked, decentralized structure of the controls minimizes the need for cabling. A centralized operation and monitoring of the facility is possible from a control panel by means of visualization. Additionally, terminals on site guarantee the operation of the facility in case of emergency and for maintenance purposes. The control programme was planned in collaboration with the J. Müller company and implemented by HIT.
